Cabinet Front Specifications
This page outlines information regarding cabinet doors and fronts. Please note that specification drawings are not to scale and are intended for illustrative purposes only. Minor differences between the information here and the final products may exist.
Notes:
- All cabinet front styles and finishes have a typical thickness of ¾’’ (0.75’’)
- All fronts are fully finished (front, back, and all 4 side edges). There is no exposed wood product.
- Cabinet doors and drawers are shipped pre-assembled to their hosting cabinet product. Items such as complimentary panels, panels, trim, custom false doors, and columns are shipped detached.
Features specific to painted fronts:
-
- Cabinet fronts are evenly spray coated with Sivam polyurethane paint (more durable than typical painted cabinets).
- All painted front styles are manufactured as a single-piece of paint-grade medium density fibreboard (MDF) that is cut to the appropriate shape specification using a CNC machine.
- All sides of all fronts are painted, including door backs.
- All front facing edges and corners are slightly rounded with a radius of ~1/16’'
Features specific to textured melamine fronts:
-
- All textured woodgrain melamine surfaces are from Tafisa Canada.
- All fronts are doubled sided.
- Side edges / surfaces of textured fronts are finished with edge banding that is a near match with the front and back surfaces.
- There is minimal rounding of the corners and edges of woodgrain fronts.
- Textured woodgrain fronts are manufactured on door-grade chipboard.
- All 5-piece door styles are constructed from 5 seperate pieces as depicted below.
Features specific to matte melamine fronts:
-
- All matte melamine surfaces are Pure Matte from Tafisa Canada.
- Matte melamine fronts are not double side. There is a feature side that is matte to the touch, and a back side that is textured melamine.
- Side edges / surfaces of textured fronts are finished with edge banding that is a near match with the front and back surfaces.
- There is minimal rounding of the corners and edges of melamine fronts.
- Matte melamine fronts are manufactured on door-grade HDF.
Features specific to wood veneer fronts:
-
- All veneer surfaces are Shinnoki's premium real wood veneer panels.
- Wood veneer fronts are not perfectly double side. There is a feature side that is premium wood veneer, and a back balance layer of the same species with a bit more character in the grain.
- Side edges / surfaces of textured fronts are finished with PVC edge banding that is a near match with the front and back surfaces.
- There is minimal rounding of the corners and edges of wood veneer fronts.
- Wood veneer fronts are manufactured on door-grade MDF.
- Note that each batch of panels is a from real material, thus noticeable differences may be present in future orders of the same finish.
