How do I save my shopping cart?
Once you have at least one item in your cart, you can save it by clicking the “Save cart” button at the bottom of the cart page. You can rename your saved cart at any time and add notes for your reference. You will need to login to your account in order to save a cart.
Please note: style selections are not saved with the cart—they are independent of the product list. Make sure to select your preferred styles on the cart page before final checkout.
You can also save a product directly to a saved shopping cart by clicking “Save Product” on the product page instead of “Add to cart”.
Can I save multiple shopping carts?
Yes — you can save multiple carts in your account. This is a great way to keep track of different rooms (e.g., kitchen, bathroom, basement bar, closets) or alternate designs (e.g., kitchen with island vs. without island).
When you’re ready to order, simply add a saved cart to your main cart, finalize your style selections, and proceed to checkout.
Can I share my shopping cart?
Yes — you can share your saved cart with anyone by clicking the share button (curved arrow) at the top of your saved cart. You can control who can view your cart and who can edit it. This is a great way to share with installers, designers, clients, or family members.
If you need PALET support to modify your order on the back-end, please contact support@paletcabinets.com and reference your cart’s name and unique cart ID.
Can I add new products to a previously saved cart?
Yes — you can add products directly to a saved cart by clicking “Save Product” on the product page instead of “Add to cart”.
How do I choose a style for my cabinetry order?
You can select your style and finish preferences at the top of your shopping cart page. Click “Edit selections” to choose your door style, finish, cabinet box colour, drawer type (e.g. dovetail or steel), and the material for any open shelves.
Some styles may reduce your overall price by offering style-specific discount codes, which will be clearly indicated and easy to apply at checkout.
Before completing your purchase, please double-check that all style selections at the top of your cart are accurate.
All our cabinet products are compatible with all styles and finishes, so you can update your selections at any time during the ordering process without compatibility issues.
How do I create an order with more than one cabinetry style?
To receive made-to-order cabinetry in multiple styles or colours, you’ll need to place separate orders, with each meeting our minimum order value.
When our support team reaches out to coordinate delivery, you can confirm that the orders should be delivered together as part of the same project.
Ordering multiple styles — and therefore placing multiple orders — for a single project is common.
How do I merge shopping carts?
To merge shopping carts, simply add two or more saved carts to your main cart, then save the combined contents as a new, unique cart.
Do you have a design tool or configurator?
PALET does not offer a 3D visualization tool like IKEA. We do provide an example configuration page to help illustrate how certain products come together, but it’s intended for reference only.
If further 3D visualization is important for your planning, IKEA’s online kitchen planner is excellent for rough layouts. Many of our customers also use tools like SketchUp or Canva to piece together their design before building the product list in their PALET cart.
If you require more in-depth design help, our support team would be happy to recommend designers from our network based on your needs and budget. In this case, please email support@paletcabinets.com for recommendations.
Do you have any example carts so I can see how products come together?
Yes! We have a page dedicated to example cabinetry configurations, showcasing a few kitchens and smaller setups (like a simple sideboard). These examples help illustrate how to correctly size panels, how cabinet runs come together, and what details may matter for certain situations — and they can also serve as general inspiration.
The examples highlight how labelling cabinetry products can help keep track of your design. Portions of these configurations can be added directly to your own cart if you’d like to build on a piece of an example design.
Can I label products to keep track of my design?
Yes — when adding a product to your cart, there’s a text field where you can add a custom label (below the Quantity field). This label appears on your wrapped product when delivered, making it easy to keep track of your order on-site.
For example, you might number your cabinets (e.g., “cabinet #1” or “c1”) or add descriptions (e.g., “fridge side panels”) to help organize your layout. These labels are especially helpful when arranging cabinetry on-site for installation.
Can I customize cabinet dimensions?
Yes, in most cases. If a “Custom Dimension Request” text field appears on the product page, you can request a size adjustment. Custom dimensions must be specified to the nearest half inch (e.g., 22.5”) and must fall within the product’s dimension limits. For example, if the width range is 9”–24”, you can request any size within that range (e.g., 23”), but not below 9”.
All dimension requests are subject to approval and may incur additional charges depending on the customization. For details, contact support@paletcabinets.com.
Can I customize panel dimensions?
Yes - one of PALET’s key features is the ability to customize panels to the nearest 1/16”, allowing you to achieve precise, architectural detailing where needed.
Visit our Custom Sized Panels collection to choose the type of panel you want to customize. Detailed instructions for specifying dimensions are provided on each customizable panel product page.
How do I choose the right end panel size for my cabinet?
In most cases, our standard panel sizes are ⅞” wider or deeper than the cabinet box. This ensures the panel sits flush with the cabinet doors, which extend ~⅞” beyond the box due to our ¾” thick doors and ⅛” rubber bumpers. The height of the panel should match the cabinet height.
For example:
A base cabinet that is 23.5” deep and 34.5” high requires a Base End Panel that is 24.375” deep and 34.5” high to align perfectly with the cabinet front.
In some cases, installers may prefer oversized panels to allow for scribing — a process used to trim panels on-site to fit uneven walls or floors. If scribing is preferred, panels can be customized to add an inch or more, depending on your installer’s needs.
You can refer to our Example Configurations page for examples with correct panel sizing, or contact support@paletcabinets.com for help with your order.
Can PALET help me build my order?
Certainly — we’re happy to help you translate your design into a PALET product order, whether it’s reviewing an existing design or assisting with modifying your saved cart(s) to match your layout and instructions. It is the customer's responsibility to review and confirm that all carts are built as intended prior to check out.
While PALET doesn’t provide design services, we can connect you with a vetted network of interior designers and cabinetry layout specialists if you need design assistance.
There are also many free resources available online to help you get started, such as IKEA’s kitchen planner and general YouTube tutorials. Wherever you are in your project, PALET support is here to help guide you in the right direction.
How do I select a custom paint colour?
You can choose your style and finish preferences at the top of your shopping cart page. Click “Edit selections” to select your door style and finish. For any painted style, simply select “Custom Colour” as your finish, then enter your Benjamin Moore colour name and code.
While we don’t use Benjamin Moore paint itself, we use a high-quality polyurethane paint system that matches Benjamin Moore colours within 1–2% variation.
All custom colour selections will be confirmed by email after purchase. Please note that replacement parts not caused by a PALET issue may incur additional costs, as a new batch of your custom colour will need to be procured.
How do I choose my fillers, toe kick, and other required trim pieces?
Trim pieces are designed to be cut to size on-site, so they don’t always correspond exactly to cabinetry dimensions. Most trim is provided in 8ft or 4ft lengths and is 0.75” thick.
For example, fillers often need to be trimmed down to widths of 1”– 3” and adjusted to fit against walls, ceilings, or floors that may not be perfectly straight.
We recommend discussing your order with whoever will install your cabinetry to ensure you have the right pieces for the design. If you’re unsure, reach out to support@paletcabinets.com — we’re happy to help.
We also suggest ordering at least one extra trim piece as a contingency, since these finished pieces often come in handy for tidying up unexpected gaps or details on-site.

Dispose of them: If the cabinets are beyond reuse, contact your local waste management company for disposal guidelines. They may have specific instructions for large items like cabinets.
