Adjustable Shelf Guide

This page outlines information regarding adjustable shelves, and provides a key to determine the quantity of adjustable shelves in our cabinet products. Please note that specification drawings are not to scale and are intended for illustrative purposes only. Minor differences between the information here and the final products may exist.

 

Notes:

  • Adjustable shelves are ¾’’ thick MFC that matches the cabinet box colour.
  • Adjustable shelves are edge banded on all 4 sides.
  • Each adjustable shelf has atleast 4 steel shelf pins to be inserted beneath the shelf for support. There may also be plastic shelf clamps to secure the shelf in location, which are to be installed above the cabinet.
  • IMPORTANT: shelf pins and clamps may be installed upside down on delivery for certain cabinets (e.g. wall cabinets) to promote safe transportation of the shelves and hosting cabinets. Please ensure the steel shelf pins are installed beneath all shelves as support before use.
  • Shelves are adjustable in height on vertical increments of 1.25''.
  • The adjustment range of each shelf varies for the specific shelf and cabinet product (e.g. hinges may affect a particular shelf’s adjustment range). 
  • Shelves are slightly set back from the cabinet box’s front edge (~1/8'')
  • Adjustable shelves can typically be removed on-site if preferable for specific uses. 
  • Open shelf cabinets also follow the guidelines detailed in this document. However, wine rack cabinets do not, please refer to the specific product page for wine rack shelf quantities.  
  • Lift-up wall cabinets do not have adjustable shelves.
  • Certain products will omit adjustable shelves in specific areas or compartments (e.g. areas with recycle pull-outs, internal pull-out drawers, expected utilities/appliances, expected plumbing, etc.).
